When I got my 500Gb Seagate 700.11 Drive, it died within 6 months of use.  That was 1 1/2 years from now.  I have not had any problems minus one -  Partitioned my sys operating drive for XP use.  Since I upgraded to Vista and its damn winsxs folder I had only 800mb free on that drive for the past 5 months.

I am now running two drives now on Raid 0.  750Gb and the original 500Gb, both Seagate 700.12.  Found out that the 700.11 drives has faults in the spindle bearing and SMART system.
